The Laughing Place

The Laughing Place, otherwise known as beautiful Boligee Alabama. I'm guessing from the guest list for this wonderful blog, that most of you either know personally of Boligee, or know someone who knows of the place.



Boligee is where my parents grew up. It is really a ghost town now, but in its hay day it was a booming town with two cotton gins. Here is a picture of Arthur and Fred, with the infamous Diet Coke that he asks for every night!

Pop Pop, Anne, Cover's and Troupe's grandfather, grew up like Tom Sawyer and loved stories about the time he lived in!!!! Song Of The South was one of his favorites. The song from that movie was why he named our Hunting Camp "The Laughing Place."

It really is a place where you can relax and forget about the rest of the world--- Untill Monday morning that is!!!!



Mema and Pop Pop are here always in spirit.

They taught us how to have fun and cook and have fun while cooking!! Also - they always enjoyed the company they were with. Here is a recent picture of a hullaballoo of us... celebrating hunting season I guess!!
